Ruth Eckerd Hall and artist Christopher Still are proud to announce the unveiling of its 25th Anniversary Commemorative Painting. The exclusive unveiling of this masterpiece is on Saturday, November 7, 2009 at 6:30 pm. This event will include a reception, a presentation by the artist and the ability to bid on and purchase pieces of his artwork. This event is free to Christopher Still Project donors and $125 for all other guests. The public open house is Sunday, November 8, 2009 from 11 am to 4 pm and thanks to event sponsor Progress Energy is free. The painting celebrates how our community came together to create what is now one of the finest performing arts centers in the country – Ruth Eckerd Hall. Many longtime supporters of the Hall are depicted as audience members; students from The Marcia P. Hoffman Performing Arts Institute bring the Hall’s logo to life on stage, while founders Jack and Ruth Eckerd look on from behind the curtain.
